达勒姆琼斯 & Pinegar
A sophisticated, new team environment for a respected Salt Lake City law firm
作为达勒姆·琼斯的一部分 & Pinegar (DJP)’s efforts to redefine their brand vision and establish a new model for future growth, they selected an elegant new home spanning the top two floors of the recently developed high rise at 111 South Main Street in Salt Lake City.
The unique hat truss structural system used for the building shell allows for a column-free floorplate of over 21,每层000平方英尺, which in turn provides highly flexible space planning options. One of the firm’s primary requirements was the ability to create two distinct environments within the office — a collaborative work space for staff, and a welcoming yet distinguished space for visitors and clients. This delineation was achieved through the subtle change of finishes and door hardware functionality that controls movement between the two sides without compromising any safety codes or exiting requirements.
Full-height glazing throughout the office provides beautiful 360-degree mountain and valley views, and glass sidelights run along corridor walls of the perimeter offices with roller shades to give occupants more control over light and insolation. These corridors open up into shared work spaces with glass-enclosed meeting rooms to further enhance the sense of open layout. Visitors enter from the elevator lobby on the 24th floor into a refined reception area flooded with natural light and mahogany wood paneling, which matches the finish of the building’s street-level foyer.
The firm’s new location also offers improved accessibility for DJP’s employees and clients, with walkable access to and from all downtown amenities including the city’s convention center, 酒店, 体育场馆, 以及市中心TRAX轻轨站, which supports cyclist commuters with bike racks and locker rooms.
