Providing our expertise from conceptual design to construction
IBI Group is providing architecture, engineering and construction administration services from conceptual design to construction for the Hyundai Safety Test and Investigation Laboratory (STIL). Located in the Superior Charter Township of Michigan, the $51.6 million space will become an innovative and modern safety facility for Hyundai Motor America.
By leveraging our in-house, multidisciplinary expertise in designing and managing large-scale, innovative projects, we have a strong understanding of the processes necessary to provide highly informed guidance to Hyundai Motor America throughout the planning, design and administration phases.
In collaboration with Hyundai Motor America, the National Highway Safety Administration, Washtenaw County and Superior Charter Township, we are creating a safety facility that is the first of its kind in North America. The Hyundai STIL facility will feature a field crash investigation lab, high-voltage battery lab, forensics lab and a 3/10-mile test track. Upon completion, the space will employ approximately 150 people and is expected to be operational by November 2023.
